Our RV @ QSP project continues to make progress.  2024 will see the RV park open with electrical and water hookups + dump station available in May!   Construction of the bathroom & shower facility to begin in the spring of 2024, hopefully completed in fall of 2024.

The Colfax Park Auxiliary Board, with the support of the City of Colfax, believes the “RV@QSP” project will generate future revenue for the park and the city, as well as allow other enhancements of the park for a greater number of outdoor enthusiasts.

Campground Host Job Opening

Seeking site camp host - single or couple

Quarry Springs Park, Colfax, IA (20 miles east of Des Moines, IA on Interstate I-80)

For 2024 Season May 1 thru Sept 30, 2024 - Part-Time

Will include holidays and weekends     

 

New 40 stall RV Campground and established 25 stall primitive campground located in Colfax IA, 20 miles east of Des Moines along Interstate 80.   

 

RV Site + Wages:   Host will receive free RV site with water and electric hook-up.   Dump station nearby.   Schedule and Stipend to be negotiated. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:   Greet/assist visitors, provide information, reserve and monitor camping reservations, computer comfortable with online reservation system (we will train) light Park maintenance of grounds and facilities.
