Our Mission: To develop, operate and maintain a park and recreational system which enriches the quality of life for residents and visitors alike, while being stewards of the land which preserves the legacy of Colfax for future generations.
About Us
The Colfax Park North Park was donated by Martin Marietta in April of 2014 to the City of Colfax, IA. It was formerly a sand & gravel quarry and was no longer a profitable quarry and sat vacant. Several community members approached the company and discussions began to have the auxillary park board and eventually the city of colfax acquire the park.
Projects
We're currently working with the architecture firm Confluence to create a master plan for the park with many stakeholders to provide input on the vision of the park.
