Quarry Springs Park Grand Opening

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our grand opening fishing derby, lunch, speeches, ribbon cutting, and nature talk on July 23rd, 2016!  A very special thanks goes to the volunteers who have made the park and event even possible!

The Colfax Parks & Rec Auxiliary Board would like to invite you to our Grand Opening celebration on July 23rd to celebrate Quarry Springs Park officially opening.  Our events include a kids fishing derby, free will donation lunch, ribbon cutting, celebration speeches, and a guided nature walk with Iowa DNR's Pat Schlarbaum.

  • 8:30-9 a.m. Kids Fishing Derby Registration

  • 9-11 a.m. Kids Fishing Derby, Ages 0-18. 

  • 11:00 am - 11:30 am - Fishing Derby Prizes

  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Freewill Donation Lunch

  • 12:30 p.m. Guest Speakers & Ribbon Cutting

  • 1:30 p.m. - Guided nature walk with IA DNR's Pat Schlarbaum
